Brought back memories of visiting his gallery, his art, the whole meaning of creating... made me think it's about time I got back into creating art instead of just shooting things... I miss the exhilaration of seeing something take shape on paper or canvas...
If you live art or want to see how life can be seen through art, this film certainly will evoke sensations that will be inspiring...
Wow! Thank you for that, my friend! You know I love the pics you take, but I want to see more of your drawings hahaha But as long as you are creating in some shape and form, the muse is honored.
His work is amazing and some of it is incredibly complex. When I was in Art School, we visited his gallery space and it certainly was an experience. I threw a bit of my really old stuff up on another account, it's a bit of a mix of all kinds of styles, but a lot of small scale works, as they were easier to scan. I do have quite a few larger canvasses in storage that are partway complete and a few larger illustrations that I need to get back to work on, but sometimes it can be good to just start fresh. Have been assembling quite a few paints and other tools recently, I prefer to work in oil over acrylic as it provides a longer working time, but can also be a bit tricky too, but will see how it goes... thats-him-omg is where I have been throwing things up, but as I said, it's really old, some of it might be reworked into new things as there are a few elements to some of the ink works that I want to expand upon.
I don't have the studio space here to throw paint around in a safe manner and I am also assisting with looking after an elderly family member as well, I usually like locking myself away from distraction when I illustrate or paint and I can't really do that at the moment, but I have been putting some ideas together, throwing some things into a journal, so hopefully before too long I may be able to get back into some bigger projects. I shoot a lot of reference material as well, landscapes, skies, clouds, textures etc, so maybe I can work with building up a few sets of ideas from there as well, oh yeah and I have to get off the computer a bit more often too, now that the weather is becoming more inspiring over autumn/winter
