Bwindi Impenetrable Forest,
This jungle was insane. We spent a good hour and a half making our way down from the road, which is behind and to the right of shot here. We had a guard, armed with a Russian Kalashnakov and two trackers, that we were escorted by as we went down into the undergrowth. There were no trails just vines, dense jungle and flying bugs everywhere. We made our way down towards the river gully, where we encountered a huge Silverback male, a female and a baby. We then spent around an hour within about 15-20 feet of them as they moved through the undergrowth and ate berries and leaves...a magical experience indeed.
